POLIS CAREER STREAMS

Analysts and Consultants

First, we are seeking highly qualified analysts and consultants to join our core team.  Typically if you have one to three years consulting experience at a reputable firm, we seek to hothouse talent and fast-track your career, by placing you in senior-weighted teams with bespoke analysis.

We don’t do “template solutions”: we seek and develop original thought to solve cutting-edge problems.  We want the best, and we value and treat our team accordingly.

We are committed to providing high quality training and development in an atmosphere that is inclusive, enjoyable and respectful.

Senior Associates and Associates

We also seek experienced, senior professionals who are available to bring significant expertise and experience to bear on bet-the-company issues for leading clients.

At Polis, our Senior Associates are the equivalent of partner, principal or manager-level professionals with many years’ experience, who work with us where their particular skills are relevant and valuable to our clients. 

Our Associates are consultant or project-leader level professionals who also bring strong technical, project management or domain expertise to bear on our clients’ critical issues.

Both levels of Associates may be available to work full or part time with us.  Our aim is to ensure that they get satisfying, original work and add value to our clients.

OPEN POSITIONS

Senior Analyst

As a Senior Analyst you will be a member of a team solving important challenges for a client. Our clients include commercially oriented businesses, government bodies and non-profit organisations. A project typically includes one or more of strategic, organisational, economic, social or environmental issues.  We are often called on to deal with complex problems for which there is no routine solution.  

Analysts are expected to communicate their findings to the team and to participate actively in team discussions. In particular, for this position, we are seeking an analyst with strong quantitative analysis and modelling skills, combined with the ability to relate the analysis to the real-world challenges and opportunities that our clients face.  We want someone with both quantitative analysis skills, and business nous to go with it.   

Location: Auckland

Desirable qualities: comfortable with ambiguity, curious, proactive, resilient. Ability to work in teams and adapt to client situations. Confidence to engage and communicate well with Ministers, CEOs, senior executives and entrepreneurs.  Preferably previous consulting experience especially in areas of finance.
